Comedy Night Comes To Keys Park https://www.hednesfordtownfc.com/2015/08/comedy-night-comes-to-keys-park?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=comedy-night-comes-to-keys-park Tue, 04 Aug 2015 09:00:34 +0000 http://www.hednesfordtownfc.com/?p=6925 Hednesford Town Football Club, in association with top comedian Andy Fury, are pleased to announce that on Friday 2nd October a top evening of football-related comedy will take place at Keys Park.

The comedian will be presenting “Andy Fury – My Cup Upset”, a stand up show that details his journey from the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup right the way through to the final at Wembley itself – with extra focus being placed on the time Hednesford played on that trip.

You will remember that as part of the 19 game challenge, which saw Andy covering some 8,000 miles as part of the Cup Runnings duo, he took in four Pitmen matches.

These included the famous two matches against West Auckland Town, the Fourth Round Qualifying tie at Stamford and also the FA Cup First Round fixture here at Keys Park against League One Crawley Town.

The evening, which starts at 8.00pm with doors opening from 7.30pm in the Chase Suite, will see Andy draw upon his favourite, and not so favourite, memories from those games and the run as a whole.

It will be a night not to be missed and hopefully you can join us.

Tickets are priced at just £5 and available to be purchased from the Commercial Office between 10am and 4pm each day.

Annual SA Quiz Another Resounding Success https://www.hednesfordtownfc.com/2014/01/annual-sa-quiz-another-resounding-success?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=annual-sa-quiz-another-resounding-success Tue, 07 Jan 2014 19:28:59 +0000 http://www.hednesfordtownfc.com/?p=5091 The Hednesford Town Supporters Association Quiz Night took place at Keys Park on Saturday night and once again raised money towards helping the Football Club build on its first season back in The Skrill North.

Over 50 supporters made up some 13 teams as “Thin on the ground” were crowned champions and, including a raffle kindly funded by prizes from Chadsmoor Fish Bar, The Kitchen Cupboard – Hednesford, The Anglers Peg – Chadsmoor and various individual donations, the total raised on the night came to over £150.

Joint Chairman of the SA, Scott Smith, was delighted with another great turnout and, despite The Pitmen losing to North Ferriby United in the afternoon’s main attraction, thanked all fans who attended and reserved special praise for quizmaster Keith Harley.

‘The quiz night is in its third year now and continues to prove a very important date in the SA calendar and one which could not happen without the diligent work of organiser Keith Harley and his assistants, Carol Shepherd and Linda Berry.

‘It was great to see so many members get together to raise money for our organisation and we hope that, with further events planned before the end of the season, 2014 will be another successful year for all those associated with the Football Club.’

Several new members of the Pitmen Prize Draw also entered and plans are now afoot to reunite the FA Trophy winning team of 2004 in a similar fashion to the hugely successful Middlesbrough FA Cup reunion night in 2012: more details of that night will be announced in due course.
