Hednesford Town are pleased to announce the signing of experienced defender Keith Lowe from neighbouring Rushall Olympic.

Lowe, 37, made the move to part time football at the start of this season having had a distinguished career in the Football League and National League for the likes of Wolves, Burnley, Port Vale, Cheltenham Town, York City, Macclesfield Town and of course Kidderminster Harriers, where he was the club captain and part of the side that faced West Ham in the FA Cup as well as appearing in the playoffs at the end of last season as he moved in to part time football joining Rushall Olympic.

We are delighted to have been able to bring Keith to the club and we welcome him to the RACE Stadium in time for Saturdays game with AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Byrne, arrived at the Race Stadium during the summer however his work commitments have meant he is unable to commit to the travel involved with playing for the Pitmen and he has made the decision to rejoin Coleshill.
We wish Taylor all the very best for the future.

As the last few additions to the squad for the 2022/23 season are completed, we can confirm that the versatile Cameron Ebbutt has agreed to stay with the squad for the new season.

Cameron joined us in the closing months of last season from Bromsgrove Sporting FC and put in some fine, hard working performances on the right and left midfield positions in the run in.

Cameron is a very welcome addition to the squad.

After evaluating all of his options, we are delighted to announce that Riley O’Sullivan has signed his new contract for the 2022/23 season.

21 year old Riley joined us from Coventry United FC, midway through last season and put in some fine, hardworking performances. He is a strong, competitive player with a fine left foot and has a terrific work ethic.

The squad for the new season is now almost complete and will soon be returning from the break to commence pre-season training.

The club are pleased to announce that the highly rated and experienced goalkeeper, Lewis Gwilliams, has elected to join the Pitmen after a short but highly productive spell at promoted Belper Town FC.

Lewis only joined Belper in January but his performances helped them to make the play-offs and to earn promotion. The 30 year old stopper was offered an excellent deal to stay at Belper but was happy to reduce his travel commitments by moving to Keys Park and play in the Southern League, Central Premier Division for Keenen Meakin-Richards’ exciting young team.

The 6ft 2″ Gwilliams is a commanding figure who had previously played at Alvechurch, Rugby Town, Worcester City and Sutton Coldfield Town before his spell at Belper Town

We would all like to welcome Lewis to Keys Park for the forthcoming season.

You may have seen in previous news that a number of players have agreed terms for the new season and there are a number of last season’s squad that are still in discussion.
Chay Tilt, Lewis Hayden and Josh Webb have all indicated that they will be staying at the club.
George Cater was made an offer but has taken up an opportunity at Tamworth FC. Reece Flanagan was offered improved terms but has elected to join Redditch United FC.
Cain Smith was released in order to pursue opportunities elsewhere, good luck with your new clubs, lads.
A number of players from last seasons squad have advised that they would be retiring from football, we would like to wish Sam Griffiths, Callam Mendez-Jones and Martin Riley all the very best for the future.
We would like to place on record our thanks to all of the above players for their hard work and dedication whilst at the club.
The management team continue to meet with potential new recruits and we will be announcing any new signings as they happen.

The squad for the 2022/23 season is now starting to take shape as the talented and hugely experienced Kyle Bennett has agreed a new contract with the club.

The stylish midfielder has well over 300 Football League appearances with clubs like Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bury, Doncaster Rovers and Portsmouth on his CV. He made a big impact on the squad after joining the Pitmen from AFC Telford United in January of this year.

Kyle will be taking up the role of Vice-Captain for the new season with a view to passing on some of his vast experience to the younger players in the squad.

After a busy few days for the Pitmen, we are delighted to welcome experienced goalkeeper/goalkeeper coach, Adam Marusiak, to Keys Park. Adam has a wealth of experience, most recently coaching the goalkeepers at Bromsgrove Sporting FC and will be a valuable addition to the coaching staff.

On the playing side we would also welcome young defender/midfielder, Harry Manton to the club after recently leaving Birmingham City FC. Harry is an energetic and combative left sided player, an excellent addition to Keenen Meakin-Richards’ squad.

Finally, last but not least, we are pleased to announce that Leroy Lita will also be staying with us for the 2022/23 season. The experienced, former Premier League striker, joined the club on registration deadline day in March and, after scoring a home debut hat-trick against Stourbridge, went on to accumulate 6 goals in 6 appearances endearing him to the Keys Park supporters.

Hednesford Town Football Club are delighted to announce that young midfielder, Todd Parker, has committed his future to the club, for the 2022/23 football season.

Terms for his new contract were negotiated recently and the highly regarded 19 year old signed last night after a typically hard working performance against Stourbridge FC.

Todd has already aroused the interest of a number of EFL and FA Premier League clubs and has made enormous progress this season as an ‘ever-present’ in the Pitmen team.
We look forward to Todd’s further progress next season.

Please welcome to the club Leroy Lita…..

Lita, is an experienced Forward, originally started his career through Chelsea youth system, who has played Premier League football, with the likes of Reading and Swansea, alongside having played for Norwich, Middlesbrough, Birmingham City to name but a few clubs.  Lita joins us from rivals Stratford Town FC, where alongside Nuneaton Borough he has the much needed experience with playing within the Southern Central League.  Having scored over 100 goals across his career to date & at top levels, Leroy is in peak shape and adds further strength and depth to the Pitmens forward line.

Speaking to us the management team stated “we’re delighted to have Leroy join us.  His strength, hold up play, directness at goal, but most of all his experience all adds to the mix of what we seek to achieve.  He’s a proven talent, as could be seen in our recent games where he played against us.  The seasons not over yet, and whatever we achieve this season we seek to build and improve upon next one, no matter what…  & with Leroy Lita joining us, his knowledge in the game and experience upfront will on assist us in achieving our goals as a team.  We would also like to thank the board for the backing and the fans for getting behind us, as without both signings such as these cannot happen.  Lets get together and make some noise at our next home games and cheer the team on…..as we are the Pitmen together.”
