Hednesford Town Sign Jack Bearne

Friday 26/07/2024

Hednesford Town are thrilled to announce the signing of the highly sought-after Midfielder Jack Bearne from Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton, subject to international clearance.

Jack, 23, started his career at Liverpool and had a successful 7 year spell at Anfield, working his way through the ranks before making his first team debut under Jurgen Klopp in the Quarter final of the EFL cup against Aston Villa.

During his time at Anfield, Jack had a loan move to Kidderminster Harriers where he was instrumental throughout the season culminating in winning the Conference North Play off final.

A move north of the border followed where he signed for Greenock Morton of the Scottish Championship where he was a key player last season, making 30 appearances; also becoming a firm fans favourite before Steve King swooped to bring him back down south to join his Pitmen Revolution.

The gaffer had the following to say ‘Jack is a very talented player; a forward thinking player who can play across a range of positions at the top end of the pitch and most importantly fits in character wise with the squad we are building here at Keys Park. His footballing upbringing is second to none; He was highly thought of by all at Liverpool including Jurgen Klopp who gave him his 1st team debut, He was much sought after by a number of clubs so for me to get this one over the line I am thrilled as it’s a massive coup for the club’

Everyone at Keys Park wishes Jack all the very best and we are thrilled to have him here as part of the Pitmen Pack.
