Maye The Force Be With You As Simeon Returns Home

Saturday 29/06/2024

Hednesford Town are delighted to announce the capture of highly rated midfielder Simeon Maye.

Simeon Maye

Simeon, 28, may be a familiar face to Pitmen fans as he spent time here at Keys Park earlier in his career before making the move to Solihull Moors. After a number of successful seasons there he made the move to Hereford before joining Brackley Town.

The much sought after midfielder then made the switch to Leamington before playing for Banbury the following season and finally making waves at Rushall Olympic last season where his combative and workaholic playing style endeared him to fans and pundits alike with Simeon finishing in the Top 5 statistically for tackles and interceptions in the Conference North.

Manager Steve King added:

Simeon is the exact type of player I wanted within my team to complement the other midfield players; I need to get the balance right and he gives us something different. To land him is something I’m absolutely delighted with. Simeon’s stats speak for themselves ; a tenacious and non stop working midfielder that fits the bill of exactly what we were after. Fans love an all-action player that leaves everything on the pitch and Simeon is just that

Everyone here at Keys Park is thrilled to see Simeon back in the black and white of the Pitmen and we wish him all the best for his time here.
